Notice on the processing of personal data

This page explains what data we collect when you visit hqcitalia.com, why we process it and which rights you can exercise. It is provided pursuant to Articles 13 and 14 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).

1. Who processes your data

The data controller is Halal Quality Control Italia, with registered office at Viale Giorgio Ribotta 11, 00144 Rome, Italy, VAT no. IT03705970782.

For any matter concerning your data you can write to hqcitalia@gmail.com or by certified email (PEC) to hqcitalia@pec.it.

2. What data we collect and why

Quote and certification requests

When you fill in the request form (Form F0422) we collect the data of your company and of the contact person: company name, VAT number, address, name, role, email and telephone, as well as the technical information on the products and sites that you provide.

We use them to evaluate the request, prepare an offer and, if you become a client, to deliver the certification service. The legal basis is the performance of pre-contractual and contractual measures requested by you (Art. 6.1.b GDPR). For data that we must retain as an accredited certification body, the legal basis is the legal obligation and the legitimate interest in being able to demonstrate certification decisions (Art. 6.1.c and f).

Live chat

The website uses a chat service that allows you to write to us in real time. If you open the chat, the content of the messages, your IP address, the pages visited and the technical data of your browser are processed. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering the requests of those who contact us (Art. 6.1.f).

Browsing and statistics

Like any website, our servers record IP addresses and the technical data of requests, for security and diagnostic purposes. We also use statistical tools to understand how the website is used: they are activated only with your consent, given through the cookie banner. Details are in the Cookie Policy.

Visit notifications

When someone opens the website we send ourselves an internal notification with the page opened, the referring link and the city derived from the IP address, so that we can offer real-time assistance. The IP address is sent to a geolocation service that returns only the city and country; no history of visits attributable to a person is kept. The legal basis is the legitimate interest in commercial assistance (Art. 6.1.f).

Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw it whenever you wish, without affecting the lawfulness of the processing carried out before.

To exercise these rights write to hqcitalia@gmail.com. We reply within one month.

If you believe that the processing infringes the GDPR you can lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali).

6. Provision of data

Providing the data requested in the quote form is necessary to evaluate the request and issue an offer: without it, we cannot reply to you. The other processing operations described above are optional and, where applicable, subject to your consent.
